Beer lovers cake

Another cake for month of April was John's birthday cake. Inspired by his love of beer, this idea instantly came to mind. Quite appropriate I thought, considering I was taking him a pub.

He does like his beer, but I could not bring myself to actually add beer into the cake. Something about savoury and sweet just didnt quite appeal to me, instead it contained banana and walnuts. Hmm maybe I could have added beer nuts!
This design was modelled loosely on a Tooheys bottle. It was amazing how long it actually took to make the little letters, but was well worth the detail.
